Editorial Policy

Every guide, review, and comparison on this site follows the same standard: report the numbers accurately, label opinion clearly, and keep content current.

Principle 1

How We Research

Product facts — pricing, advance limits, fees, funding speeds, and feature availability — come from providers' publicly listed terms, product documentation, and direct product use. Every article carries an "Updated" date reflecting its last review; competitor figures are noted as of that date and may change.

Principle 2

How We Rate and Rank

Ratings and rankings weigh four criteria for the typical borrower: real monthly cost, maximum advance, funding speed, and credit-building value. Where a competitor beats Cleo in a category, our comparison tables say so — you'll find category wins credited to Dave, Empower, Brigit, EarnIn and others throughout our comparison pages. Rankings reflect editorial judgment; commercial relationships, disclosed in our Advertiser Disclosure, can affect placement but never the underlying facts.

Principle 3

Consistency Across the Site

Core figures — subscription prices, advance ranges, transfer fees, and eligibility requirements — are maintained as a single source of truth and kept identical across every page, from the flagship review to the FAQ.

Principle 4

Corrections & Updates

Pages are reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to pricing and terms changes. Spotted an error? Email [email protected] — verified corrections are made promptly and the page's updated date is refreshed.
